Last Saturday, May 21, 2016 was a historic day for Covenant Academy.
It was the day we graduated our first class of seniors, our “sensational six.”
Many people came up to me after the ceremony to say how lovely the ceremony was. Most said that they weren’t sure what to expect (being our first graduation and a small class compared to other schools) but what they experienced was beautiful, intimate and deeply moving. In fact, many said it was the most moving graduation they had attended. While I am grateful that so many have come away with this impression, I know that the beauty was really the Lord shining through because we were able to make His Word the focus of our ceremony.
Intentionality and intimacy are part of our everyday culture as a school. We are able to achieve such a high degree of this because of our small class sizes and because our teachers truly love the Lord, love students and love learning. The love of our teachers overflows into the classroom. None of this would be possible without you. Thank you for supporting our school through your time, talent, gifts, prayers and encouragement. We look forward to the day when we have sent hundreds of godly leaders into the world equipped to honor and defend truth, goodness and beauty.
Yours in Christ,
Leslie Collins, Head of School

Because of Your loving-kindness, because of Your truth.”
