MBA in Marketing with an International Business focus; BS in Elementary Education with minor in English Literature at Sam Houston State, Huntsville, Texas
Between the public school classroom, homeschooling, and private school, I have taught Kindergarten through Seventh Grade. At Covenant, I have enjoyed my time teaching seventh grade literature for the past two years and I am now thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten.
I find much joy in teaching little ones to read and discover. Through very deliberate guided discovery, students are taught to think, reason, assimilate, and truly learn for the sake of knowledge, not testing. Because everything is taught through the lens of Scripture, this fundamental distinction naturally fosters a passion for seeing God in everything, strengthening our relationship with Him. This well-laid process of teaching children to discover is why I love Covenant and classical Christian education.
My husband of 15 years and I are blessed to have two boys that both attend Covenant Academy. On weekends you can usually find us camping in the great outdoors, hosting book clubs or board game days and entertaining our hamsters, Pickles and Squirrel.
